The managers
The managers of the two Juniper Tree centres are ex-patriate volunteers, appointed by the Juniper Tree Trustees, and have full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the centres. This includes:
- serving as hosts to the missionary guests
- maintaining the properties, buildings and equipment
- agreeing donation requests and controlling the expenditure
- managing and paying the staff
- maintaining the quality of the service provided to guests
- managing the office systems and procedures
- overseeing the security and IT systems.
Support
It is a full-time, unpaid role. Managers raise their own support from churches, friends and family, or have private means to support themselves.

- meals and furnished accommodation on-site, including water, electricity and Wi-Fi
- one return airfare each year (to allow for one month off per year in their passport country)
- annual medical and repatriation insurance
- costs incurred to obtain visas and work permits (non-Immigrant 'O' visa and work permit)
